  • Disclaimer: Below are just abstract of Product Data Sheet purely for illustration purpose on the use of product data sheet to maintain in SAP ERP (ECC 6.0).

► 1.1 — This section covers how product specifications and parameters can be maintained in SAP Material Master record using own defined Class & Characteristics & specify in the classification tab

  • MATNR — Material Number and
  • CLASS — Class Maintained in the Classification view of Material Master

Since SAW RF Filter products are marked with device designation, lot number, as well as production location and date code, hence SAP Material Master “batch management” should be enabled in “Sales: General/Plant” tab, so that creation of Delivery Note (DN) or Outbound Delivery for Goods Issue allows the entry of lot# (ie: batch number) before picking & packing by shipping department/personnel.

► 1.2 — This section covers the creation or maintenance in SAP Bill of Material (BOM)

  • Lithium tantalate (LiTaO3) or Lithium niobate (LiNbO3) is a perovskite which possesses unique optical, piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties used as the substrate.

— Bill of Material Maintenance in SAP as shown in the screenshot are solely based on datasheet for illustration purpose only.

  • Product Data sheet used for creation & maintenance of BOM in SAP as shown above, solely for illustration purpose only.

► 1.3 — This section covers the creation or maintenance of Operation Flow (Production Route) in SAP

Routing maintain in SAP

A routing is a description of which operations or list of activities has to be carried out during the production and planning process. The image above illustrates how routing is maintained or created in SAP.

It also tells what order or sequence the activities/operations needs to be carried out at work centers or machines.

  • There may be several alternative routings for a product.
  • operated workcentre or machines (CMP, Etching and grinding) and simultaneously manufactured on 1 automatic machine (which has both drilling and grinding functions) & can have alternative routings viz, automatic machine and manual operated machine.
  • Multiple materials can follow same routing group which means a group of materials can have single routing.
  • Routing is used in Production for scheduling and costing of operations for finished and semi-finished materials.
  • Routing’s are also used in standard cost calculation for finished Product by calculating operational cost of finished product.
  • Before creating the routing, it is mandatory that Work Centre should be available in the system.

► 1.4 — This section covers the creation or maintenance of WorkCentre in SAP using Transaction Code: CR01/CR02

  • Before creating the routing using SAP TCode: CA01, it is mandatory that Work Centre should be available or created in SAP system.
